Welcome to the next stop on the Operation Write Home Bloghop. If you missed the beginning stop, it's at the http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/.
Be sure to vote for Operation Write Home on the JoAnn's Craft for a Cause Contest. Vote every day, please! There's a link in the right sidebar.
All boxes with Christmas cards are on their way to our Heroes, and now it's time to focus on cards for Valentines Day. The deadline for Valentine cards is January 7, 2011.
My decision to help with Operation Write Home is selfish. I have a nephew who is in the Air Force and has been station in Afghanistan. I am very happy to report that on Veteran's Day he landed safely on US soil.
Here is the card I created for this blog hop inspired by my downline Julie Link.... The first picture is the outside of the card and the second picture is the inside of the card.
Materials to create this card include
- Stamp Set: Wedding Sweet (115466)
- Card Stock: Whisper White, Real Red
- Accessories: Brads, Modern Label Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker
Thank you for reading my entire post!! I have blog candy!! Leave a comment, and I'll choose a winner after 12:00 am Monday. I am a Stampin' Up demonstrator and absolutely love their products, so here's what one lucky crafter will receive:
Happy Stamping!
Roxie
I love your cards!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your support of OWH. Your card is lovely.
ReplyDeleteRoxie, love the card. I do joined OWH for "selfish" reasons. I currently don't know anyone in the military but am a Army "brat" and a former/ex Navy wife. I know how hard it is to be away from home, in peace times. I can't imagine during war times. So it gives me great pleasure to help in this small way.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun day.
cute card!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of your card! Hey great to hear about your nephew arriving safe. I'm a veteran and also daughter of career Army Dad and I don't think there's anything selfish about what we're doing at all. I think those of us who have personal experiences can share a lot with others, so thank you so much for joining!
